Foodie Friday: Specialty Cakes at Walt Disney World

My family celebrates our children's birthdays at Walt Disney World every year and I have ordered them a specialty cake as a surprise.  We dined at Chef Mickey's for their birthday for the last two years and ordered custom cakes from the Contemporary bakery to have delivered to our table during dinner.  The cakes are ALWAYS delicious, fresh and gorgeous!

There are tons of options to choose from and if they don't have something you want on their list, just ask!  They do their best to accommodate any request.  They are pricey, but it's totally worth it when you see and taste it.

Here are a few cakes that we have had done in the past:

My son's 1st birthday at Garden Grill in Epcot
My son's 4th birthday at Chef Mickey's
The inside of the Jake cake is marble cake with Bavarian creme and fresh strawberries filling
My daughter's 1st birthday at Chef Mickey's
My son's 5th and daughter's 2nd birthday at Chef Mickey's
The inside of the Lilo and Stitch cake is marble cake with cookies and cream mousse
The bakery can screen print almost any image of any character, like the Jake and the Neverland Pirates cake.  For an additional cost, you can have the image printed on a piece of white chocolate like the Lilo and Stitch cake.  Even the shells around the cake are made of white chocolate!

Are you interested in ordering a specialty cake?  Call the Walt Disney World Cake Hotline at 407-827-2253.  You will be given prompts to choose which location around the resort you would like to order from.
