Who's Who Wednesday: Ciao, Luigi

Meet Luigi, resident of Radiator Springs, part of Lightning McQueen's pit crew, and proud owner of Casa Della Tires Shop.

Luigi (voiced by Tony Shalhoub) is a 1959 Fiat 500, and a huge Ferrari fan, as indicated by his license plate number: 445-108 (the latitude and longitude of the main Ferrari factory in Maranello, Italy).

He is justly proud of his tire shop, which sells only the finest tires for the discriminating vehicle. He's opened a second shop (complete with his famous Leaning Tower of Tires) in California's Disney Adventure's Cars Land.

There, he offers not only tires for vehicles, but rides for kids of all ages!

And, so we hear, soon Luigi will be spreading some rubber at Walt Disney World! The Lights, Motors, Action! spectacular will be replaced with a Florida version of Radiator Springs, complete with Luigi's Flying Tires, an updated version of the original Disneyland's "Flying Saucers" ride. It's also a bit like bumper cars, since you can bash into other riders, just for fun.
