A Pirate's Life for Me: Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage

Ahoy, Matey!

The Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage is one of my favorite activities to do at Walt Disney World for several reasons.  It’s a fun and different way to see Wishes at the Magic Kingdom, the “booty” is delicious (the variety of snacks provided), and who doesn't like acting like a pirate?  Savvy?

The voyage starts at the Contemporary Resort where you pick up your pirate bandannas and head into a private room where drinks and treats await.  You will find bags of Smartfood popcorn, pretzels, fruit, Mickey rice krispie treats, granola bars and treasure chests full of chocolate gold doubloons.  Frozen treats are provided in the warmer months, including the famous Mickey bars.  Oh yes, you read that correctly.  It’s a freezer full of MICKEY BARS!  In the colder months, special sheet cakes are added.  (Snacks are subject to change without notice)

Have your photo taken with special guests, Mr. Smee and Captain Hook!  A PhotoPass photographer is available to snap your pictures or bring your own camera.  Recent additions to activities are games with the children before setting sail.  My son just loved playing Limbo with the two characters.
An announcement will be made when it’s time to line up and head to the boat docks, so make sure you take everyone to the potty before heading out.

You will be treated to songs, trivia and games while sailing around the Seven Seas Lagoon ending with a gorgeous view of Wishes Nighttime Spectacular.  I have also been able to see the Electrical Water Pageant on my last two sailings.

Weather permitting, but we still went in the rain.  Clear ponchos were given out.

A special guest awaits your arrival back at the Contemporary boat dock to perfectly end the evening.

My overall opinion?  LOVE!  I have taken this voyage 3 times so far and it gets better each time.  The only downside to it is that it is so late, so my littlest Pirate Princess has yet to experience it.
